SME Accelerator Programme Launches in Nigeria by Ayoba – Ayoba, a communication platform in Africa that supports the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), has been introduced in Nigeria. During the launch in Lagos on Monday, Mr. David Graham, Head of Business Development at Ayoba, emphasized that
the purpose of the Ayoba SME Accelerator launch in Nigeria is to create anplatform for SMEs to foster their business ideas and promote collaboration for growth.
Graham stated, “The platform provides SMEs with access to the necessary tools and funding for their businesses. It is open to all SMEs with scalable ideas that can address challenges and generate growth opportunities.
“Eligible SMEs with impactful ideas can apply for the programme, and the selected ones will undergo a three-month mentorship that will assist them in developing and commercializing their ideas.
“Additionally, the platform allows SMEs to launch their products and solutions on the Ayoba platform using the Ayoba app.”
Sheila Yabo, Head of Ecosystem Development at Ayoba, highlighted that the Ayoba app was specifically developed
for African businesses to facilitate their growth and expansion.
Yabo added, “The app aims to showcase African content and provide support to small African businesses. Collaboration with industry stakeholders is crucial to
making a significant impact on businesses, and we are open to partnering with other organizations to further drive this initiative.”
During the Ayoba Accelerator Programme launch in Nigeria, Mr. Adetola Sojirin, Head of SME Banking at Fidelity Bank and one of the panelists, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative. He stated that it aligns with Fidelity Bank’s vision of supporting SME growth in Nigeria through various packages tailored to assist SME businesses.
Mr. Killian Mayua, Country Head of Adanian Labs Nigeria, a pan-African business developer, announced the
partnership between Adanian Labs and Ayoba to further advance the initiative.
Mayua emphasized the importance of African businesses being part of the fourth industrial revolution and highlighted that the Ayoba SME Accelerator Programme provides Nigerians and the rest of Africa with the
opportunity to digitally grow their businesses and connect with more customers.
He also emphasized that building a successful business requires a team of talented individuals, and the Ayoba
platform offers access to such talented teams that can drive business growth.
