Man Utd confirm major injury blow ahead of Fulham clash
Man Utd confirm major injury blow ahead of Fulham clash – Manchester United have confirmed midfielder Casemiro will be sidelined for “several weeks” with
an hamstring injury.
The Brazilian only just returned from injury against Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup in midweek, but came off at half-time.
United have now revealed the £70million star will be out of action for several weeks, in a fresh injury blow to beleaguered boss Erik ten Hag.
It said: “Casemiro will be out for several weeks due to a hamstring injury suffered during our Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle United on Wednesday.
“The Brazilian midfielder was withdrawn at half-time due to the issue, and subsequent assessment has revealed a strain that will keep him out for a number of weeks.”
Ten Hag, who is under increasing pressure after eight defeats in United’s 15 games this season, cannot afford another loss at Fulham on Saturday.
The United boss is already without Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez, while Jadon Sancho remains exiled due to disciplinary reasons.
