The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been described as shameful and disgraceful following their 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe on Sunday.
The Super Eagles had to come from behind to record a 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe. This is the second draw in the team’s two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. The 1-1 was a follow up to the same result with Lesotho in their first game of the qualification series in Uyo on Thursday.
Walter Musona gave the hosts the lead in the 26th minute, firing in a free kick from outside the box. Substitute Iheanacho equalised for the Super Eagles 25 minutes from time. The Super Eagles have now amassed two points from two games.
“Disgraceful performance,” an angry fan wrote on X. “Una no get ashamed like this?’ Another said. Disgrace. Sack everyone,” another wrote.
“It’s time we consider Ahmed Musa as a starter on this team. He plays better than most of these guys,” said another.
“Super Eagles are messing with my mental health. I hope this team makes the WC sha,” another fan said.
Another fan said, “How to waste 90 minutes of your life.”
